For Chewing Blackbones: Don’t believe the negative reviews, which are mostly w complaining about lack of cell service (um did you expect them to put up a cell tower just for you in this remote part of MT?) or the fact that it was closed in February (if it’s that important…call ahead?) We stayed here for two nights in late June 2022 and absolutely loved it. The setting is gorgeous, the sites are spaced apart more than most campgrounds, the prices are very reasonable compared to the KOA, and the access to the east side of Glacier NP is fantastic . I couldn’t believe this CG was only 1/4 full, although it was a weekday so weekends are probably busier. The lake is swimmable, there is a tiny play set and foos ball and a pool table. The only negatives were very dated bathrooms and little to no cell/internet (if that’s a negative for you; not for us.). The staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend this CG and giving your money to the Blackfeet tribe rather than KOA!

For Chewing Blackbones: Previous reviews describe this campground well. It’s different in that it’s more like open field without any logic as to which sites have utilities. Our site was huge. Would gladly spend a week here to have good access to the park.

For Chewing Blackbones: Stayed in August 2019. Conveniently located between Many Glacier and the East entrance, this is a Native American operated campground on a beautiful alpine lake with gorgeous Mountain View’s. The spaces are large, open, and mostly level. The staff is cordial and the firewood is cheap! The facilities are old and dated, but clean. It’s a fraction of the cost compared to the KOA at St Mary’s. It’s not a resort by any stretch, but you’re there to see Glacier National Park so it’s the location you can’t beat

For Chewing Blackbones: If traveling in the winter, don’t expect this place to be open. Their website says they are open all year. We were driving south from Calgary late in the evening in February to find a 2 ft snow drift in front of the entrance and the gate locked. One star because we had no other experience to rate.

For Chewing Blackbones: The value for your money is very high. The staff here is marvelously positive and engaging. It is not hard to find a level area on most of the very spacious sites. I like the historical relevance of this site. Wide open camping areas and great for doggies to get some exercise. We checked all the other camps in this area and found this to be the best, with the exception being KOA down the road..but then again, I didn’t want to pay their exorbitant rate. Showers could use a little updating but not bad and certainly useful. On Labor Day weekend it was half full. Lots of elbow room. They are working hard to make this an enjoyable retreat for people. Good Verizon reception. LTE ll

For Chewing Blackbones: Stayed one night on 14 Aug after a last minute (3 days out) decision to visit East Glacier area. Read review(s) here and on Trip Advisor so expectations were low but there were no other available locations except maybe KOA for $85-$150 per night. Reserved a site on ReserveAmerica and arrived 2 days later to be greeted by a very nice young lady. Checking in was a snap and was pointed toward the requested pull-thru site A003. Th park is essentially a large field dotted with service posts. All sites were significantly larger than most private CG's and the A001 - about A0014 were crazy huge and back up onto a tree-line. Connections were often located in unusual locations and a bit hard to reach. But jiggle around and you could probably make any or them work. Other than the typical small bumps and holes of a field, the site was generally level. OK- The down side was the shower/washroom facilities. Only 1 of 2 buildings open and the one that was is certainly dated and in need of repairs. That said, it was recently cleaned (bleach after-odor) and the water was hot once you figured out how the faucet worked. Not very pretty, but functional. We're self sufficient but still used the facilities, so they weren't THAT bad. I might even book them again over the NP CG's where you are stuffed in like pickles in a jar.

For Chewing Blackbones: We arrived just after summer holidays had started and saw there was a total of 6 other campers and lots of vacant space. If you like no internet, no tv and no telephone reception, this is the place for you. We were self contained but I checked out the shower and restroom facilities and was not impressed. We were charged full summer price for a less than average stay. The staff were helpful when asked questions. The internet was classed as free, but even at the office we found the speed was so slow it was difficult to even check emails.
