For Copper Mountain RV Park: We were here for a FMCA Diesel Rally. This park is well maintained and clean. They offered a dispenser for ROWater, it is FREE. They have planned activities bingo night, shuffle board, pool table, and poker night. Also at a nominal price they provide taco night, hamburgers, breakfasts and on special occasions. We were here for st. Patrick’s Day and had corn beef and cabbage with all the trimmings including beverages. For larger groups their club house is large enough, with s full kitchen. The Park provides all the tables and chairs if needed They have a well organized sharing library and DVD movies room. Puzzles actively working everyday. A fun place to spend the winter or a few days. With passport America they give you 4days! If we are in the area again, we will definitely stay again.

For Copper Mountain RV Park: What a wonderful find - Staff bent over backwards to get into our spot. Very clean and tidy and easy to get to.

For Copper Mountain RV Park: What an awesome park!!! Stopped hear for 4 days on the way. I would love to stay much longer but HOT season is coming. Would definitely come back in the winter. Spaces are 45 ft wide and we are in a pull through for our 48 ft 5th wheel plus our truck. There is plenty of room.
The park is open all year round regardless what the website and or apps say. There are some amenities which are closed based on the winter / summer season. Monthly price is awesome at $280!!!

For Copper Mountain RV Park: What a gem of a find for us!
Very well kept park. Level lots. We have a 36 ft motor home towing a GMC. Pull thru spaces in the back. I was concerned I’d hear the freeway or the gas station near by but heard nothing.
It is remote so be sure to get supplies before you stop for the night.
Used PA rate of $20 in Feb which most parks in AZ don’t honor.
We will stop again when traveling this way.

For Copper Mountain RV Park: After dry camping near Ajo, AZ for a few days rain was forecast & I decided to find a better place to stay in case it got muddy. Copper Mountain RV Park is a Passport America participant & a full hookup pull thru was only $19 /night & I was only going to stay two nights. After chatting with a park resident I learned it was only $250/mo plus 17 cents / kwh for electricity so I ended up moving to a back in site which all have nice big patios and I stayed from Dec 5, 2018 - April 1, 2019 & am planning on returning next Fall. (The rate will be $265 + electric).
Tacna is 40 miles East of Yuma on I-8 so it's an 80 mile r/t for groceries. Yuma doesn't have a Costco so I had to drive to Glendale, AZ (140 miles away) to p/u a prescription. I towed my trailer & stayed overnight at Cabela's in Glendale & it's the only Cabela's in AZ.
Copper Mountain has 205 sites, laundry facilities, mail boxes for each site, various group activities if you're interested as well as a dedicated area to hose off your ATV. They have a new dog park and the hosts are super helpful and friendly. The water at the site is fine for showering but tastes terrible so there's a free reverse osmosis machine outside the clubhouse & I kept a few gallon jugs full. The park also has clean showers which I looked at but didn't use b/c I shower in my trailer.
UPS & FedEx will deliver to your site or you can have something delivered to the office. If you have a package waiting at the office there'll be a note in your mailbox.
There's a brand new travel center nearing completion that borders the park. It'll sell Shell gasoline but isn't a Loves, Pilot, etc.
There are train tracks about 1/3 mile away & trains run 24/7 but it's extremely rare for them to blow the horn.
