For Saco River Hideaway Campground: Let me start off by saying I am not a "campground" type person, I like the in the woods, getting away from it all type camping! lol But, I kept seeing this come up on Facebook, the amazing reviews and the beautiful pictures online so we decided to give it a try for the weekend. WOW, I am so glad we did, for just reopening Mike has done alot of work to the Campground and he is so friendly to chat with, we really enjoyed hearing the history of the what the campground used to be like. My favorite thing has to be the "rustic" camping experience Mike is creating which is so nice to FINALLY find a campground that allows for a true camping experience. If you are into the glamping then this place is not for you, if you are looking for a place to relax, unplug, float the river that is down a beautiful pathway behind camp and truly enjoy the outdoors this campground is perfect for making memories. We can't wait to return and see all the hard work he continues to do. Oh, and its pupper friendly with lots of places to walk them, which is so helpful when they are your traveling companions!
