For KOA Journey Corpus Christi: This is a new KOA that was well-planned and is very well maintained. It has good interior roads and nice level parking at spaces that aren’t crammed together too tightly. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It’s not all great, though: it’s on the stinky side of Corpus Christi Bay and very exposed to the constant on-shore winds. One day just standing up was a challenge. The city street to access the park is very rough and narrow. At least there’s no overhanging trees along the way.
I would have still rated it Five Stars but it’s just too pricey to get a perfect rating. There’s even an extra $20 daily charge if you launch a boat.
