For Fishers of Men Ranch: What a great RV park! For those that want to be out in nature to enjoy peace and quiet and a fantastic view of the stars at night, it doesn't get much better than this. Nestled in amongst cedar and oak trees this is one of the best parks we found for those that want to be out in the woods. There are two kinds of sites, those with electric 50amp and water hookup while some have no service at all. Additionally, there is no individual sewage dump at each site (there is a dump station, but it is for dump only with no water for flush). All sites we observed have a fire ring, but you need to check with Katz the owner before doing any burning since the county frequently has burn bans in effect. No swimming pool, shuffle board courts, bathhouses, or landry rooms here just plain good camping in the presence of nature. All sites are located on dirt, but are easy to drive into and set up. The only down side for some is that dogs are not allowed. Katz told us that the reason is that the land is a nature preserve that has wild deer, boar, bobcats, and coyotes. Scents from domestic animals effect the presence of the wild ones plus could cause an issue with a wild boar if a dog encounters one; therefore, they ask that pets not be brought in. Very pretty scenery and view of the stars at night is fantastic. We plan to stay here again!
