For Speedway Truck Stop: Old Karen/Carrie What person in their right mind would try to keep a person from using the restroom when that person has stated he is about to go crap in his pants, several times? How cruel can a person be!?!? Apparently Carrie does not comprehend who the employee is and who the customer is. This old woman working there would not let me use the restroom even when I told her I was about to go in my pants. I became quite agitated when she told me I could not use the restroom because she needed it to be cleaned first. She told me that she does not want to let me use the restroom because of how rude I was becoming. She also claimed that I lunged at her as if was going to assault her. I was "lunging" towards the restroom door because I have nerve damage in the left leg and foot and I was about to fill my pants. What a drama queen! She literally, according to what she said, called my company and the police twice. Can you imagine what police dispatch would be airing over the unit's radios? "All units, make haste and respond expediently with extreme caution to the Speedway. There is a RUDE, I repeat RUDE truck driver on the verge of filling his pants with poopoo." Do the police not have enough to deal with other than every excited Karen/Carrie crying about rudeness? I would invite management to take a look at the security cameras near the restroom door at approximately 04:05 am on August 28th. What did she expect when I was was standing there about ready to go in my pants and all I needed to do was go into the restroom? I stop in there all the time and spend a lot of money at the speedway as a truck driver. So I guess Carrie needed to make it about her and her sensitivities and how I was not all chipper and happy standing there about to poop my pants with a big grin on my face. Great customer service! Where does Speedway get these people? Update: after I went to my company to drop off freight and drove back by there, there really were 2 police SUV's there. OMG!!!! The drama over an agitated truck driver needing to poop Is exceedingly ridiculous. I called this Speedway to talk to the manager Tina and she was extremely RUDE. It took me asking 4 times for the district manager's phone number and name for Tina to finally fork it over after repeatedly saying "I'm going to take care of it." After listening to her hum drum reactions to my complaint I decided that really was not going to happen. The violated customer should be apologized to, allowed to rant while the manager uses her managerial skills to deescalate the call and calm the irate customer. Instead Tina kept it going by slinging mud as well. "Well, you this, and you that." She actually told me I insulted her because she does not know what a "Karen," is. I don't think explaining to her what a "Karen" is can be considered it an insult. That would be more long the line of educating someone who is ignorant of what a "Karen" is. Later this day Doug, the district manager returned my call. Finally, I talked to someone sensible pertaining to my situation. He apologized and said he would get back to me. I suggested he watch the video footage of 4:05 A:M to see that I actually DID NOT lunge toward Karen/Carrie for an assault attempt. Why would someone exert himself to assault someone else do such a thing knowing the exertion would further jeopardize him shitting his pants? It is almost like I was an actor in some bizarre surreal stage performance with a crazy lady determined to protect her dirty restroom from my bare buttocks further dirtying up her toilet seat. And what really stinks is that these jobs are such high turnover jobs where these people come to work here and develop these control freak power trip behaviors over the stupidest things. And then, a couple months later they are not even working there when I have been going in and out of this Speedway to spend my hard earned money for over 7 years now. The bottom line here is that I experienced a gross violation of a basic human need to relieve myself. This is a strike of severe disregard and lack of respect for basic human dignity. I am still appalled.
