Read the ghost story below...
Originally built in 1919 to serve the cattle and railroad industries, the hotel boomed in the 1920s with travelers and high rollers. A fire in 1934 brought in a firefighter who recognized the John Dillinger Gang. This in turn led to their arrest a few hours later.
One of the ghosts here, who died of a heart attack in the hotel, may be seen staring out a window. Room 242 is haunted by a woman who shot herself in the bathroom after a police standoff. She has been seen by the bathroom and just outside the room. Guests have reported noises and nightmares while staying in this room.
