Read the ghost story below...
One of the most famous unsolved crimes in American history happened here in Fall River, Massachusetts. Now you can stay in the room where Abby Borden was killed with an ax. You can visit in the parlor where Andrew J. Borden was found on August 4th, 1892.
The Borden Home is a Greek Revival house that has been a city landmark since the infamous ax murders of Andrew and his second wife, Abby Borden. Erected in 1845 as a two family home, it was later made into a single family by Andrew J. Borden.
Andrew J. Borden bought the house at 92 Second Street to be close to his bank and various downtown businesses. The Bed & Breakfast-Museum is named after Andrew J. Borden's youngest daughter, Lizzie. Although she was tried and acquitted of the crimes, Lizzie was ostracized by the community of Fall River and considered to still be guilty by many.
As for ghosts, there have been unusual experiences in the house. Thing like body impressions appearing on newly made beds, a mysterious fog or smoke in the parlor.
Since the murders in 1892, the house spent most of its history as a private residence. Now the public is allowed not only to view the murder scene but to spend a night in the actual house where the murders took place.
