For Cherry Creek State Park: Big beautiful park, sites mostly pull through, level, paved and well spaced. Stayed 3 nights in early Oct. w/31’ 5th wheel while visiting relatives in Aurora. Reservations hard to come by, as Denver doesn’t have many RV parks in close, and this place is popular. We spent 2 nights in a full hookup loop, and one night in another. Getting 3 nights in a single site wasn’t possible, but you take what you get on short notice. Returning one night after dark we found a large buck (7 pts/antler) within 10 ft of our RV, and he would only move about 10’ to one side while we backed our truck into the site and went into the RV. The next morning he was back in close to the RV and only turned his head to watch me get out and go for a walk. I guess it was “his spot†and he wasn’t leaving. Reserve well in advance as this is a really popular park.

For Cherry Creek State Park: Stayed in the Buffalo Loop for 3 nights in Oct 2019. Great park. Lots of room to go jogging, biking, walking etc. Also a shooting range. Beautiful place. There was a small herd of deer that grazed inside the loop in the mornings. It snowed the last night we were there and it was spectacular! Bathrooms and showers were very nice and clean. 50 cents for first 3 minutes of the shower, 25 cents/minute after that. Very enjoyable place. Friendly staff. Will definitely return.

For Cherry Creek State Park: We stayed in the gold rush loop and loved the spacious sites and cement pads with full hookups. Some of the other loops had pull through sites and back in sites but they did not seem as spacious. It leads me to believe that the gold rush loop was added later due to the demand of the park. The price with the daily park pass ends up being a bit pricey but it was worth it. The facilities are spotless and the entire park seems very well maintained. We took a nice bike ride from the campground down to the reservoir where we found great views and a lot of activity. The picnic area is huge with sand beach for blocks with lots of people picnicking and playing lawn games. A little piece of paradise minutes from town.

For Cherry Creek State Park: What a great place. I State Park in the city. Paved roads, concrete pads, and a lot of biking trails. Watch the deer graze outside your RV. I will be back. Watch for the entrance sign. Your nav will take you to the wrong place. They need to update the address.
