For Oak Grove Park and Cottages: Great level sites with padding only steps from a white sandy beach! Friendly staff and easy access!

For Oak Grove Park and Cottages: Clean park. Close to hiking, biking and beach (all within walking distance). Walmart and Target nearby. Clean laundry room with change machine. The only complaint is that they won’t allow you to keep your trailer on the pad even though there is plenty of room. We have a 24 foot motor home and a 14 ft trailer so we were small compared to the bi rigs there. We keep our motorcycle and bikes in the trailer (our only other means to get around). So we had to unload everything at our site and reload our stuff over at the trailer storage site when it rained. The policy doesn’t make sense or seem fair when everyone else has a huge rig and one to two other vehicles parked on their site. Being able to keep the trailer on our pad would not only make it more convenient but also would keep our site looking tidy.

For Oak Grove Park and Cottages: My wife and I stayed at this RV park Aug 6-8. We planned a weekend trip. Park was very nice and shaded. Sites were level and very large. They had cable and WiFi. We used the WiFi and it worked very well. We didn’t use the bathhouse or laundry facilities. Easy access to the beach. Beach was very nice and private. We spent most of the day there. We also went to the National Aviation Museum. The camp host Lou Ann was fantastic. We checked in after hours. She made sure we got to our site and provide direction to other things to do around the air station. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back. Thanks.

For Oak Grove Park and Cottages: We arrived Sat night and thought I would share my thoughts on this park.
Likes: It’s actually on base so it’s very secure, quiet and minimal traffic in the park. Beach is within walking distance. Due to hurricane damage you can’t swim but you can fish and sit and enjoy the sunset. Bathrooms are clean, updated and good hot showers. Camp Hosts are phenomenal! No really they informed us of everything and made us feel so welcome! Cable is 105+ channels, internet is decent and Verizon cell service is great. Concrete pads for all sites so no issue leveling.
Dislikes: I really only have 1 complaint but it’s huge...No fire pits or open fires allowed. This really is a big disappointment for 2 reasons. It’s campfire weather this week so we wanna be outside and staying warm by the fire every evening and it’s of course advertised on the website so I brought all my s’mores stuff for my kids. So your only fire option is a propane pit you bring from home.
The directions and address are super confusing. Best advice is come into the back gate. Park is on your right past the marina. If you come in the main gate follow directions to the Lighthouse and park is on the left 1/2 a mile.

Teeters
For Oak Grove Park and Cottages: Staff is helpful and friendly, but the woman working the desk was not wearing a mask. We were there during Christmas and it was quiet. The park is located by the jetway, so expect some daytime noise. Throughout the base and in town, we saw significant damage from hurricane Sally. The RV park, which is sheltered in a grove of trees, was in good shape even though the cottages are closed because of damage. We did not use the bathhouse or laundry. The commissary and NEX are outside the base gate, so goods and services are a drive, There are several historical sites on the base as well as museums.
