Kristin

For New Orleans RV Resort and Marina : Was skeptical due to reviews stating it was in a sketchy area off a rough road. Very pleasantly surprised and ended up extending our stay. Road leading to it is not in the best condition but in no way the horror as described. Park itself is immaculate, with nicely sized sites. Some even have a view of the water. Staff was very friendly and will do their best to accommodate if you choose to stay longer. The office is a mini mart with necessities, alcohol, rv supplies and gifts. There is a restaurant onsite that has quite possibly the best potato salad I have ever tasted. They also serve seafood platters which were also great. For 6.00 per person a shuttle will take you round trip to the French quarter. This place is more affordable than staying at the park in the French quarter with much better amenities. Not to mention it is much quieter.

Canuck

For New Orleans RV Resort and Marina : Best park in New Orleans. New since Katrina and hidden in an old warehouse district on the water. Sites are spacious with vegetation between each site. Low cost shuttle to downtown with convenient times. Great restaurant and bar in the park with awesome live music on the weekend. Cons- WiFi only works within about 100’ of the office. Would be 5 star plus with park wide WiFi.

Danbo

For New Orleans RV Resort and Marina : Great park to visit New Orleans. The shuttle is so convenient. The service here is top notch. Every single employee we interacted with was courteous, helpful and nice. The spaces are tight but fine. The park does have a lot of standing water if it rains and the road coming in is rough. Laundry machines need attention.

Don

For New Orleans RV Resort and Marina : The drive into this placer is HORRIBLE. Also don’t be deceived... nothing is paved. Rain brought huge potholes in the streets. Our RV and tow vehicle were extremely dirty after a one night stay.

Joe

For New Orleans RV Resort and Marina : Very weird area for RV park in an industrial area along water front. Once you’re there and inside the park it’s a great little space, well designed, maintained and clean. A little pricey at $75 per night for 50 amp pull-through. Bottom line, I’d stay here again if I REALLY wanted to be close to New Orleans.

WayneM

For New Orleans RV Resort and Marina : We stayed at Pontchartrain Landing for 5 days for the 2018 New Orleans Jazz Festival. The location was easy to get to from I-10 coming from the east, since we avoided towing our 5th wheel through downtown New Orleans traffic. Agree with other reviewers about the potholes on France Road approaching the site, but OK if you go slow, and not that different from the poor condition of many other streets in this city. Check-in was easy and efficient. The restaurant and bar, with live music almost every night, were big pluses for this resort. Pool and hot tub were clean. We were in site 122 near the entrance, and the internet signal was OK too slow for streaming movies, but pretty reliable. For the $90/night price we paid, I would expect better. The roads and sites in the resort are all gravel, and a little dusty. Many of the palm trees looked dead. Not sure if this was because of earlier flooding in the area, or just lack of upkeep of the landscaping. Overall, I rate this campground 4 stars would be a 5 if not so pricey and the roads/pads were paved. I'd stay here again if I could get a better deal on the daily rate.

Bosun

For New Orleans RV Resort and Marina : In very rough area, old industrial, but camp is secure. Great pull through. Cable was good but wifi unreliable. Good customer service. Very short haul to French Quarter. Good experience.
