For KOA Journey Elk City: Good for overnight. Didn’t check the bathrooms or showers. There were some really nice spots but I got stuck in the back with no trees. Cost more than I thought it should. Sayre has a city park for $12/night i didn’t know about but do now!

For KOA Journey Elk City: Cable didn’t work, WiFi didn’t work, everything closed due to COVID-19. My electrical box and cable tv boxes fell apart just opening them, many of the other boxes in the campground look like they are felling apart too. Place needs some work, but is convenient if you need something along I-40. Right next to I-40 so you get the normal Interstate noise all day and night. Get off at Exit # 50. Do not trust your GPS if it tells you anything else.

For KOA Journey Elk City: Nice campground but has some faults. Sites are close together and roads are narrow. Was warned about hot water by host and told to let it run for a while and it will get hot. I let it run 25 minutes and it never got hot. Serious boiler or mixing valve issues. Bathrooms were in great condition though. Most likely because no one uses them due to no hot water. I did not try other showers at other end of campground. Nice people and this could be a great campground with a little work. Would stay here again just to see if they get the campground fixed.

MQuick

For KOA Journey Elk City: Sites are pretty level. Office looks to have sit down restaurant/Café. Enough room for our 45’ 5th wheel.

Basicbox

For KOA Journey Elk City: Nice KOA. Very easy access on/off I-40. Good, level sites. Baths have been recently redone - very nice. They have small restaurant for b’fast-lunch-dinner. Very friendly staff. Great overnight or a few days. We stayed in 30’ TT/50 amp.

Debra

For KOA Journey Elk City: This is our overnight stop to Colorado. A great little place, easy off/on. Sites are larger than many KOA with paved roads and sites. FHU and a moderate fenced dog area. Grass areas between sites and a pool. Really friendly staff and they have great burgers and quite a few other menu items and they have breakfast.
