For Cedar Pass Campground - Badlands National Park: This is in my top five places I’ve ever camped. Grass was pretty tall when we were there (May 2019) and that lent to bugs, but the morning views were the best. Spacious sites great for tents

For Cedar Pass Campground - Badlands National Park: Although the views in this park are incredible, my family was a bit let down by this camp site. The site promised warm showers, but upon arrival both men’s and women’s showers were closed for repairs. Two of the three stalls in the women’s bathroom were closed, making the morning bathroom routine impossible. On top of all of this, the campsite seemed a bit overpriced for all the closures, $23 for a non-electric site. Definitely a great spot for views, but maybe skip for spending the night.

For Cedar Pass Campground - Badlands National Park: Not a terrible campground, just not laid out very well. If you can manage to turn your RV to exit on the grass instead of the road it’s better. The showers are expensive—2 minutes for 25 cents. Cost me $1.50 because I needed to wash my hair also. Plus, the shower curtain was a good 6 inches too narrow for the opening, and there were no hooks for clothes. But hooks really wouldn’t help, because everything in the little stall gets wet. Everything. The handicapped shower was nice and large and more private, but it was already occupied. I thought the staff was friendly and helpful. And of course, the scenery is incredible.

OffIsland
For Cedar Pass Campground - Badlands National Park: This is one of the oddest campgrounds. Sites are essentially pull offs on both sides of one way roads. Not designed for larger RVs as many sights are tight. Not just length but width of the road. Even two smaller class c campers across from each other could block the road. We observed people having to pull in steps and mirrors to allow passage through several times. Very few elec sites. And very few level sites. This is run by a private concession and the staff is very unhelpful, almost surly.. The only reason this has two stars is it was clean and you can’t beat the view. Next time I’ll stay at one the campgrounds in Wall.

Sherri
For Cedar Pass Campground - Badlands National Park: Campground Full signs as you drive up. But if you sit around until 12:30pm they will let you know if there are walk-in sites available. So everyone in lines got a site, but why did we have to wait 2-1/2 hours? Don't reservations close 24-48 hours ahead of time? Sites are small, water is available, one shower building(pay). Being run by contractors who upped the price($$$$) from normal Federal rates. All that said, it is a wonderful place to camp in the middle of the Badlands. Sit and look at the mountains. Get up early (before the screaming kids) and enjoy the quiet peacefulness. Lovely place.

For Cedar Pass Campground - Badlands National Park: Lack of trees and layout of Campground. Cause it to feel crowded. It is within walking distance of the Badlands Lodge's gift store and restaurant. There are a number of rock formations nearby with climbing paths.

Roadbum
For Cedar Pass Campground - Badlands National Park: A private concessionaire runs this place and even with my Senior Pass it was over $37 a night. Pros: Our site had electric hookups, pretty hard to find in a National Park. Clean flush toilets and showers. Great view of the bluffs. Cons: Not many of the sites are level; the ones near the entrance may be better. There are no trees. The women's (can't say about the men's) showers are pay, and not that clean. Just shower stalls along a wall and one changes in the hallway. There are only two tiny hooks in the hallway for each shower.
