For Cedar Pass Campground - Badlands National Park: Nothing is level in this exposed area. Showers are the pay type and could definitely be cleaner. Expensive for what you get, but your RV camping options are very limited in the park. That said, it's a very good location for exploring the badlands and the sites are nicely separated--a big plus these days. Camp hosts were friendly and very helpful.

For Cedar Pass Campground - Badlands National Park: Not a level site to be found. Cost is high. $37.00 for electric only. Sites are not back-in or pull-thru, just little wide spots on both sides of the road. The roads are one way, and to get power, you have to park with your access door on the road side. You have to pay for the showers which I don't have a problem with, but when I went to use it, they were filthy and poorly designed.

For Cedar Pass Campground - Badlands National Park: We were looking for a campground that would be convenient to visit Badlands National Park. We're self contained and don't use the facilities. We camped here on a weeknight.

This is a perfect spot from which to tour the Badlands. Agree with other posts - paved 'pull-over' sites are different as are having the door of the RV open onto a wide spot on the road. And sites at first appear to be arrayed in a large field without shade. Each site has picnic table with a shelter providing shade. Some have electric. There are water spigots and a dump station. There is no wifi. Verizon and ATT coverage is ok. All sites have great views. We believe the gorgeous view of the Badlands and convenience of being so close to the park far outweigh the funkiness of the unusual arrangement of the sites. Reservations can be made. For walk-ins, they begin assigning sites at 2pm when busy.

There are many hiking trails near the park and roads are ok for biking. The park puts on daily interpretive sessions at an amphitheater walking distance from the CG. It's also walking distance or a short drive from the Visitor Center and a small restaurant. The tiny town of Interior is about a mile away.

For Cedar Pass Campground - Badlands National Park: Great campground! The views are 360 degrees as far as the eye can see... Plus 50amp. Stay here in. Motorhome, towing for 6 nights. Only down side no sewer or water hookups... On tanks / little weird getting use to pull offs as a site but it works.

For Cedar Pass Campground - Badlands National Park: Price has gone up. The website says 2014 rates so I could not make an argument with them. Camp host was nice. Pay showers are still in place so not sure about why the increase was justified. If you like some one mowing grass through your campsite at 8am you will love this place. The grass mower (not the camp host) came plowing through early and went on for about 2 hours. Did a good job clearing out the tents real fast. NOT COOL. Thank god I'm in a 5th wheel.

For Cedar Pass Campground - Badlands National Park: Location is the only thing going for this park. The facilities are dirty and in disrepair. Plus I don't understand why they charge for a shower when you've paid for a campsite. Camp host was very helpful when they botched our reservation, however.
